My Suggestions for Enjoying Your Visit to Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise
The Turf Club at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise
If you want to have an outstanding view of the track from the comfort of the indoors, then you want to go to the Turf Club. This dining room is found on the third floor, overlooking the track. This location at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise is one of my favorites. There are tiered tables with great views of the course and the scenic landscape.
In addition to watching the live action that is going on outside, your table is fitted with flat screen tv monitors with a simulcast of other races going on around the United States, in case you placed a wager or two while you were dining.
Reservations for this dining room in Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise will give you peace of mind, and I highly recommend same. The attire here is expected to be a little upscale, so dress like you are going to eat at a country club. Be sure to call the reservation number at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise track to secure your seating.
And speaking of dining, the food at the Turf Club at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise is good—really good—and that offers you the chance to dine in while (hopefully) the horses are making you a little cash.
Lunch at the Turf Club at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise
For lunch most Saturdays, you will find me heading over to the Turf Club at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise to pick up a prime rib slider platter: thinly-sliced prime rib, sautéed onions, served on warm rolls with an excellent dip and a side of fries.
If you are celebrating a special occasion at the Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise track (or maybe a great day of wagering), you may want to check out the New York strip steak. You get a big 10-ounce steak, cooked to order, served with garlic French bread, onion rings, and a side.
The Turf Club at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise is also a great place to get an Angus burger or a ham and brie sandwich.
Another Reserved Area at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise
The Clubhouse at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise is another dining option with the opportunity for reserved seating. It’s on the second level, with a great view of the track. There are tiered seats available here as well, set up to seat two or four people. You have television monitors here just like in the Turf Club, and you can watch simulcast races inside and see the horses running outside on the track. This is a casual attire kind of place, but just like the Turf Club, I would make reservations if you are coming.
The food available at the Clubhouse at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise is as varied as the menu at the Turf Club, so you will find great food and drinks while you enjoy the races.
One More Option for Seated Dining at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise
There is a lounge, found by the Turf Club at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise, on the third level, called The Silks Lounge. It’s an intimate bar, able to seat around 60 people. You can get the same food you can purchase at the Turf Club. Business attire will be just right for you, but I suggest you call before you show up, as this room is sometimes reserved for a private party event at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise race track.
Okay, so this next one is meant for earnest horse players only. The Players’ Club at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise is found on the third level. It’s just a few steps away from the Turf Club. This is where you find a sports bar kind of vibe. You can’t see the track from here: this place is set up with betting windows and private tv monitors. If you want to watch a race live, you can step over to the Turf Club.
Reservations for this limited-seating lounge at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise are highly recommended.
Again, this is for serious horseplayers at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise race track.

Kentucky Derby Day Party at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise
I am a huge fan of thoroughbred horse racing and have been for some time. For years I have been glued to the television every year on the first Saturday in May to watch the best thoroughbreds race their hearts out in the Run for the Roses, the fantastic Kentucky Derby!
But once Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise started holding their annual Derby Day extravaganza, my days of sitting at home to watch the race ended, and now I spend my day at the track, surrounded by other fans of horse racing.
You can experience what must be the closest thing to actually being at the Derby, right there at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise track. You will experience horse races throughout the day, building the excitement towards viewing the most famous horse race in the world late that afternoon with fans who share your love of horses. Be sure to pick up an authentic mint julep from one of the Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise bars. The track has lots of events going on, so take some time to look at the great packages that Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise has to offer because you will want to make your reservations early if you want an inside seat in one of the eating establishments during the showing of the Derby.

Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise Gives Back: The Therapy Pool
As someone who loves horses, one thing that I appreciate is the state-of-the-art equine therapy pool available at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise for the horse athletes. When you watch the horses race at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise track, you know that they run for the sheer joy of it, but it still takes a physical toll on their bodies. That’s where this fantastic pool comes into play.
Therapeutic swimming at the facility takes the stress and weight off of joints while allowing the horse to exercise and gain flexibility. Over 2000 horses take advantage of this great addition to Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise racing facility.
The Food at the Turf Club at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise
I have to talk about the food for just a minute.
Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise has you covered morning, noon and night.
If you decide to come to the track early, you can take advantage of the great prices on breakfast at the track right there at the Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise facility. Now check the hours before you just show up, but most days you can get into the park at 9:00 am. If you decide to head up to the Turf Club for breakfast, you can find a very filling meal of eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage and toast. I tend to go with the three egg omelet, stuffed with ham, cheese, and bell peppers. You get that with hash browns and toast. This place serves an excellent breakfast, guys.
For a change of pace, try the breakfast down one level, at the Clubhouse. In addition to meals like you can find in the Turf Club, they have a breakfast fajitas skillet to die for, if you’re into spicy breakfast food. You can find a sizzling breakfast with seasoned potatoes, chorizo sausage, peppers, and onions, cheese, served with salsa, eggs, and either toast or tortillas.
For days when I want something sweet, I go with the thick Texas toast. The chef there at the track says the secret to this amazing French toast is that the batter contains a bit of cinnamon, and then the toast is rolled in crushed frosted flakes. Add some butter and warm maple syrup, and I am set to enjoy the rest of the morning!
Am I starting to sound like a foodie? OK, I can’t help it: you can find really good food at Jerry Simms’s Turf Paradise race track. You have so many options available to you while you are there.
